The newly established Systems Neuroimmunology Laboratory at LMU Munich is seeking a motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher passionate about combining neuroimmunology and advanced computational approaches, including artificial intelligence (AI), to unravel the mechanisms driving neuroimmunologic diseases.
Your responsibilities:
Plan and perform innovative large-scale experiments bridging human patient samples and cutting-edge AI-driven analyses
Validate computational findings through functional laboratory experiments
Develop and optimize protocols involving omics methods, immune cell assays, flow cytometry, and gene editing techniques
Collaborate closely with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists within a highly interdisciplinary environment
Contribute to publications and presentations at international conferences
Our requirements
Completed PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Immunology, or related field
Strong interest in computational science and AI (prior formal training not required)
Experience with immunological methods (flow cytometry, qPCR, functional assays, CRISPR / Cas9 gene editing) is beneficial
Familiarity with omics and sequencing technologies (e.g. scRNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, TCR / BCR sequencing, ChIP-Seq) is advantageous
Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and creativity
